Tips for studying while on clinical rotations

I’m currently on my surgical rotation, and I’m exhausted by the time I get home. I have almost no energy to sit down with a textbook, but I know I need to keep up with my exam prep. Does anyone have a strategy for "micro-studying" or high-yield preparation that fits into a schedule that’s basically 80 hours a week?

Trying to read a textbook after a 12-hour shift is a recipe for failure. Instead, optimize your "in-between" moments. I started using mobile-friendly platforms like https://www.simplytests.com/exams/medical to knock out a few high-yield questions whenever I have 10 minutes of downtime, like during a commute or while waiting for a consult. Because their questions are broken down into digestible topics, it’s much easier to stay consistent without needing huge blocks of focus time. Focus on high-yield areas where you’re currently weak, and you’ll find that you can actually make real progress even on your busiest days.
