I’ve read a lot about vulnerabilities on shared hosting environments. Is it worth paying the extra for a VPS just to get better security isolation?

I wanted to experiment with self-hosting a Git server for my private repos. Free options have limits and I didn’t want restrictions. I bought a virtual server https://iwihost.net/ and set it up over one weekend. Works smoothly and gives me full control. Perfect for learning.
